How to live in peace

Have you ever longed to have peace when instead your experience has been worry or torment?
When Jesus lived on the earth he said to his followers “peace I leave with you” ( John 14 v 27). That promise is for anyone who believes in and follows Him today.
Torment and anxiety are rooted in our thoughts and the bible tells to renew our minds to the Word of God. We do this by firstly responding to his free gift of forgiveness by believing that he died for us so that we could have a relationship with God ( Romans 5 v 1-2). See
How to become a believer and follower of Jesus Christ.
Then by speaking Gods Word of truth out so that you hear it. The bible tells us that when we hear the Word of God faith comes to us. Faith simplified is being sure that what we hope for but don’t yet see will come to pass through God and His loving kindness to us. Our thinking begins to change as we confess or speak the Word of God and believe what it says.
An example of this is if we feel condemned. If we confess that there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus ( Romans 8 v1) and other scriptures such as Hebrews 10 v 22-23 that invite us to draw near to God and have no more feelings of guilt.
You may be gripped by fear. Faith is the opposite of fear and God never makes us afraid. Click on the link below to find scriptures to confess to renew your thinking, to bring you peace and free you from fear
